Making the most of God's gifts to man
“To lack knowledge is no different from being unable to see “ – African Proverb
The potential of under-utilized plants and natural resources to improve the living standards of rural communities has largely remained untapped. This is primarily because of a lack of knowledge about their value, medicinal properties and the existence of markets for said agricultural products and resources. With the advent of modernity, people rely less on nature to meet their survival needs, consequently, much of the indigenous knowledge about natural foods and medicines that was commonplace historically is being lost. This has led to a narrowed – down concept of the role nature can play in our lives and a situation where people perceive themselves to lack resources when in fact, they are surrounded by them but are unable to see because the knowledge systems that would allow them to has been devalued. Our duty at Tebber for Hope is to encourage people to see the value in indigenous knowledge, medicine & food and to use these as tools to move from perceived lack and scarcity to abundance.

Transforming Lives Through Trade & Agriculture
Tebber For Hope Pty Ltd came into existence out of a need for a business that would operate in ways that provide practical solutions for challenges faced by rural communities. These challenges include poverty, lack of employment opportunities and malnutrition. In addition to striving to be a profitable enterprise, our aim is to reduce the prevalence of these challenges and improve the quality of life for our partners in rural areas. By placing a focus on trade and finding new markets for our products our aim is also to encourage a self-reliant spirit in those who work with us so as not to recreate a destructive cycle of dependency. We instill in our partners the sense that economic opportunity exists wherever value is produced and that there is economic value in much of what is readily available in remote areas of their country.
